FatMan here. This picture was taken 10/27/2007. The text was written 10/31/2007. I had some internet issues. Let me tell you if you plan on changing your ISP make sure you figure in some fluff time. I got thrown off 5 days without internet access. Man talk about withdrawal symptoms. I was a hurting puppy. Enough about that. Here I am on Halloween day writing this. I am close to reaching my goal. I just finished up a tough two week restrictive diet cycle where I went from 190 pounds on 10/15 to 181 pounds on 10/28. My goal now is to just hold on to 181 until  Friday 11/2 and then start my final push down to 175 pounds. I am planning on reaching 175 pounds 11/16/2007 which would be 11 days ahead of schedule. Maybe I can lose down to 170! LOL 175 will be fine.

Now that I am in the final throes of my diet journey it is impossible not to reminisce some. I posted some month by month pictures on my blog and the month to month weight loss results are really very dramatic. It makes me proud but it also makes me wonder what took me some long to wake up and get in shape.

I notice a change in how people respond to me when I am out in public. There is just plain more respect shown to people by strangers when you are in decent shape physically. It is almost like you get the OK for NOT BEING FAT. Strange as it may sound, it is true. I have noticed it and I ENJOY it. For a really long time I was one that people looked at and said (under their breath) man what a FAT TUB OF GOO!
Believe me it feels good inside and out. I still have my share of problems and issues, just not  weight issues.

I have been exercising regularly. Jogging, doing aerobic workouts, doing push ups and ab workouts . My activity level is way up. When you couple this with any kind of food intake restrictions you are bound to lose some weight. You just can't continue to stress your body without giving it some time to rebuild. So for this week I am letting my body rest and rebuild. Sort of the calm before the storm, so to speak.

One more diet push and I will be there.
Then it is on to phase 2. What is that? Stay tuned....
