FatMan here. This picture was taken and text written 10/13/2007. I feel like I am finally back on track. Tuesday I jogged 1 mile for the first time in FOREVER. Yesterday I jogged 1.5 miles. For those of you who don't know jogging/running is the ultimate weight loss exercise. It makes your biggest muscles (the ones in your legs) work hard and it gets your cardio a GREAT workout. You burn tons of calories. The only negative to jogging is that it can be rough on your joints. Especially if you are overweight. The extra weight just puts more stress on your joints. So if you choose to jog go slow until your body adjusts. You will be very sore after your first jog but just bear with it and that will subside in a few days.
Well once again I am at 190, but this time it is a little different. Now I have a sense of urgency to continue on down to 175. I also feel like my body is ready to be pushed some. For the next 2 weeks I am going to go on a strict food intake plan and couple that with some fairly intense exercise. This should push me down close to 180 and in position to almost taste the finish line. Sorry, bad choice of words. Anyway, even with my wifes Bday cake I still was able to lose 3" off my total measurements this week. I can really feel the difference. This puts me up to 45" total inches lost. All Right!!! I put on some blue jeans that were too tight just last month and now they are TOO big. Almost too big to even wear!!! (FatMan Smiling)

My goal for this week was really just to get back on track mentally and physically. I can honestly say mission accomplished. Now it is on down to 175. Today I am going to do some light exercise, walking and ab work and then Sunday will probably be more of a day of rest. Next Monday the diet/exercise grind will start up again in earnest.

As an aside my wife told me today that I am too skinny. That is funny to a FatMan like me. But I have always had a different kind of sense of humor.
