FatMan here. This picture was taken 10/08/2007 and the text written 10/09/2007. This was a strange out of synch week. I got sidetracked when I went out of town for the weekend and did not return home until late Sunday. This prevented me from taking pictures until my wifey got home Monday evening. After all that I found out that I had GAINED 2 pounds over the weekend. Monday was the wifes birthday so I know that I didn't do myself any favors by indulging in her bday cake/ice cream. I thought I was going into a sugar coma for a while there! Anyway here it is Tuesday 10/9/2007 and I find myself still 17 pounds from my goal. It is obvious to ne that, even thought I have been working out consistently, I haver not been paying close enough attention to my food intake. I have had WAY TOO MANY detours from my diet and it shows. Not so much in my pictures but in the lack of weight loss.
I also find that it is VERY EASY for me to put on 2 lbs or 4 lbs. It seems like if I eat almost ANYTHING I gain weight. To top it off my wife and friends are telling me that I look fine and don't need to lose any more weight. Talk about motivation issues...
If I didn't have such a solid goal/deadline I would probably have stopped by now. In fact, I might be on my way to GAINING some weight back. So month 5 will be a real gut check for me. I need to go ahead and lose probably 20 more pounds so I will have a buffer in case I gain a few back. This week my goal is to get back to 190 pounds, get on my diet and stay there until I reach 175 pounds.
As I write this I now have  49 days left to lose  17 pounds. It is doable but will take some good old fashioned "DEWS" paying.  I never was one to make things easy on myself.
